About the Opportunity

The Nursery Order Fulfillment Coordinator will be responsible for facilitating the tasks required to execute plant shipment orders, entering and processing orders through the systems of record and making appropriate transportation arrangements. This position will interact with and work cross functionally with other departments, contractors and county officials.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter transactional information into systems of record.
  • Assess and schedule the transportation needed to execute shipments using multiple carriers.
  • Create and maintain metric reporting for Order Fulfillment performance.
  • Develop and maintain SOP’s for facilitating shipments within the nursery.
  • Submit load requests to DSA operated and third party storage facilities.
  • Submit pack requests to DSA operated and third party propagation facilities.
  • Develop and distribute load delivery schedules to DSA and contract facilities.
  • Verify accuracy of invoices submitted by contractors.
  • Clearly communicate shipping details to all parties involved.
  • Document inventory supply utilization and movement in system of record.
  • Prepare all documentation required to execute international shipments.
  • Submit applications for phytosantiary certificates using the USDA’s PCIT system.
  • Assist with inventory reconciliation process.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support Order Fulfillment activities within the nursery.
  • Responsible for managing activities in collaboration with Order Fulfillment Team to accomplish planned growth.
  • Contributes to the Business Unit’s people priorities and objectives regarding: people leader effectiveness, engaged employees, and enabling others to perform.
  • Domestic and international travel required up to 10%.
  • Represents Driscoll’s in an ethical and business-like professional manner in all interactions with growers, co-workers, suppliers, customers and the business community at large.

Candidate Profile

Requirements

  • Experience in working in a deadline-driven environment
  • Must have strong written and oral communication skills, reliability, attention to detail, and proven teamwork skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint is required.

Preferred Qualifications & Leadership Competencies

  • Four year Business degree is preferred, however, equivalent combination of education, experience, and training in a related field may be considered.
  • Process improvement mindset and experience are highly desired.
  • Must demonstrate a high level of organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Must display initiative and have the ability to adequately set and meet deadlines.
  • Must have the ability to understand external processes and apply them to areas of responsibilities.   
  • Must be able to work an extended schedule to accommodate the needs of the business.
  • California driver’s license and the ability to be covered under company-sponsored vehicle insurance program.
  • A valid passport and the ability to travel internationally without restrictions.

Compensation & Benefits:

 

The following information is provided in good faith as a general description of the salary range and benefits for the position posted.  The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate is dependent upon experience, skills, education, work location, internal pay equity, and other objective job-related factors.

 

Salary Range estimated for the Nursery Order Fulfillment Coordinator: $45,153 to $61,100 USD.
