About the Opportunity

Responsibilities

• Act as a business controller by conducting financial analyses, building business cases, and developing management reports to support strategic goals.

• Work closely with nurseries to drive financial performance and align operations with long-term strategy.

• Challenge the organization by proactively identifying financial risks and opportunities.

• Manage inter-company accounting processes and advise on related financial issues.

• Assess financial impacts of product changes and process updates across company entities.

• Analyze direct and operating costs, comparing actual costs to budgeted figures, and identifying areas for improvement.

• Develop reports that provide clear insights into profitability drivers and cost management.

• Assist management in financial planning and resolving conflicting financial data with a proactive approach.

• Monitor cost variances against budget and consolidate reports at the regional level.

• Support implementation of financial procedural improvements and cost management initiatives.

• Build strong relationships with nursery teams, acting as a straightforward and direct financial partner.

• Contribute to audits as needed.

Candidate Profile

Education & Training

• A degree in Business, Accounting, Auditing, or Business Administration (Bachelor or Masters).

• Strong command of English (verbal and written).

Experience

• At least 3 years of experience in Business Controls, besides mutiple years of other finance experience.

• Experience in financial analytics and/or agricultural environments is preferred.

• Familiarity with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics or Oracle.

• Strong knowledge of cost management methodologies and analysis.

• Ability to add value to your business unit of nurseries by excellent stakeholder management.

• Ability to travel internationally without any restrictions.

• This role can be located in our Breda (Netherlands) or Boavista (Portugal).
