About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Benefits Program Manager for the Americas to design, implement, and manage employee benefits programs that align with our organizational goals and support our diverse workforce. This role is responsible for overseeing benefits programs across the Americas region, ensuring compliance, cost-effectiveness, and employee satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of US and Mexican (regional) benefits trends, policies, and best practices and possess the skills to navigate complex regulatory landscapes.Responsibilities
• Program Design and Management:
o Develop, implement, and manage benefits programs (health, retirement, wellness, insurance, etc.) tailored to the needs of employees in the Americas region for a highly diverse workforce, including Seasonal and Regular Full-Time
o Continuously evaluate and optimize benefit offerings to ensure they remain competitive, cost-effective, and aligned with company objectives and the Total Rewards strategy
• Regional Expertise and Compliance:
o Ensure all benefits programs comply with local, state, and federal regulations across the Americas, including but not limited to the United States, Canada, Mexico, and South America
o Stay updated on changes in benefits laws and regulations, proactively recommending and implementing adjustments
• Vendor Management:
o Manage relationships with benefits providers and brokers, negotiating contracts and ensuring high-quality service delivery
o Evaluate vendor performance and lead periodic reviews to maintain cost efficiency and service quality
• Employee Engagement and Communication:
o Develop and execute annual open enrollments ensuring effective communication strategies to educate employees about benefits programs
o Act as a trusted advisor to employees, providing guidance and support for benefits-related inquiries
• Data Analysis and Reporting:
o Analyze benefits utilization and financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
o Provide regular reporting to senior leadership on the effectiveness and cost of benefits programs
• Collaboration and Leadership:
o Partner with HR leadership, Global People Services, and Finance functions to align benefits strategies and program execution
o Lead the day-to-day planning, administration and execution of Driscoll’s benefits programs, ensuring operational excellence and prioritizing the employee experience
Candidate Profile
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CEBS, PHR, SPHR) is a plus
• 7+ years of experience in benefits program management, with a focus on the Americas region
• Strong knowledge of regional benefits regulations, including ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, and other country-specific compliance requirements
• Proven experience in vendor management and benefits negotiations
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic recommendations
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, proven ability to engage and educate diverse audiences
• Proficiency in HRIS systems and benefits administration platforms
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment and manage multiple priorities
• Fluency in Spanish required
• Experience with multinational benefits programs preferred
• Familiarity with wellness and employee well-being initiatives
Compensation & Benefits:
The following information is provided in good faith as a general description of the salary range and benefits for the position posted. The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate is dependent upon experience, skills, education, work location, internal pay equity, and other objective job-related factors.
Salary Range estimated for the Benefits Program Manager, Americas: $110,000 to $134,000 USD.
