Description
Acidic lemon juice blended with sweet blackberries to create a delightful hot toddy cocktail in a flash. A sprig of fresh thyme adds a subtle herbal note to the drink. Looking for a flavor different from the classic hot toddy? Substitute the whiskey for gin or rum if you'd like.
- 2 Ounces bourbon whiskey
- granulated sugar, for rimming glass
- 1/2 Tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 Tbsp. Brown Sugar
- 1/2 Cup hot water or mild brewed tea
- 1/2 of a 6-ounce package Driscoll's Blackberries
- 1 lemon wedge
- 1 vanilla stick

POUR brown sugar into a small, shallow dish.

RUN lemon wedge along rim of a mug or cocktail tumbler.

DIP rim of mug into brown sugar.

MASH berries in a colander over a bowl to capture juice.

ADD whiskey, vanilla, remaining juice from lemon wedge, and hot water or tea to blackberry juice.

POUR in leftover brown sugar.

STIR until sugar dissolves.

POUR mixture into prepared glass.

GARNISH with vanilla stick and one blackberry.
