Description
Make a batch of homemade lemonade and flavor with fresh strawberry puree for a perfectly refreshing summer drink. Make your lemonade even cooler with simple berry ice cubes. Not only do they look great but as the ice melts the berries infuse the lemonade with even more flavor.

- 1 Package (16 ounces) Driscoll's Strawberries, divided
- 2 Cups Mixed Driscoll's Berries (blackberries, blueberries and/or raspberries)
- 1 Cup sugar
- 7 Cups cold water, divided
- 2 Cups fresh lemon juice

TRIM and CORE strawberries.

CUT 3 strawberries into 1/2-inch cubes.

PUREE remaining strawberries in a food processor or blender.

PRESS puree through a fine-mesh sieve and DISCARD seeds.

SET ASIDE puree.

PLACE 1 to 3 blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, or strawberry cubes into each cube in an ice cube tray.

FILL each cube with water.

PLACE ice cube tray into freezer and FREEZE until solid.

PLACE 1 cup sugar into a medium saucepan, ADD 1 cup water, and BRING to a boil.

REDUCE to a simmer and COOK until sugar is dissolved.

ALLOW sugar syrup to cool to room temperature.

POUR sugar syrup into a large pitcher.

ADD strawberry puree, remaining 6 cups cold water, 2 cups lemon juice.

STIR to combine ingredients.

ADD ice cubes and SERVE immediately.
Pro Tip
-
For picture perfect ice cubes, fill only halfway with water after adding berries and freeze until solid. Remove from freezer, add water to fill and freeze until solid. This will position the berry in the center of the ice cube (great for pictures but unnecessary for flavor).
