Description
With very few ingredients and little time, you can create a sophisticated blueberry dessert. Make sure to zest your orange before juicing. A drizzle of orange sauce and toasted sliced almonds top it off.
- 2 Packages (6 ounces) Driscoll's Blueberries
- 1 Cup orange juice
- 1/4 Cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/4 Tsp. almond extract
- 2 Tablespoons sliced almonds, toasted
- 2 Teaspoons orange zest
-
Divide berries between four dessert dishes.
-
Combine juice and sugar in a medium saucepan. Simmer rapidly over medium-high heat until slightly syrupy and reduced by half. Remove pan from heat and add almond extract.
-
Drizzle warm syrup over berries and sprinkle with almonds and orange zest.
-
Serve immediately.
