Jalapeño Simple Syrup
1/2 Cup water
1/2 Cup sugar
5 Driscoll's Blackberries
1 jalapeno pepper, deseeded and chopped

5 Driscoll’s Blackberries, plus more for garnish
2 Ounces vodka
1/2 Oz. fresh lime juice
1 Tsp. jalapeño simple syrup
2 mint leaves, plus more for garnish

1 jalapeno slice, for garnish

POUR 1/2 cup water into a small saucepan.

ADD 1/2 cup sugar.

ADD 5 blackberries.

ADD 1 deseeded and chopped jalapeno.

BRING to a boil over high heat.

STRAIN out solids for mild cocktails or LEAVE IN solids for a spicier drink.

TRANSFER simple syrup to a small container and chill until needed.
Blackberry Vodka Cocktail

PLACE 5 blackberries into a cocktail shaker.

ADD 2 ounces vodka.

MASH blackberries with a muddler or a spoon.
